In 2010 we produced only 36 barrels of Highflyer Pinot Noir from Doctor’s Vineyard. The wine was aged for 12 months in 100% French oak, 20% of which were new barrels. This vintage shows bright fruit flavors and the purity of cool climate Pinot Noir aromatics, with tiers of concentrated young cherry, cola, raspberry jam and red plum. Fleshy and full-bodied, the finish is lingering and delicious!
In 2009 we produced only 9 barrels of Highflyer Pinot Noir from Sierra Madre Vineyards. The wines are aged for 11 months in 100% French oak, 20% of which were new. This vintage shows richness in depth, focus and purity of Pinot Noir aromatics, with tiers of concentrated black cherry, wild berry, raspberry jam and plum. Fleshy and full-bodied, ending with firm, yet supple tannins.
In 2010 we produced 28 barrels of this delicious Chardonnay. Aged for 12 months in mostly neutral French Oak and Stainless Steel barrels. The wine has a balance texture and body with notes of honeysuckle, tangerine oil and flint on the nose. There is a crisp minerality on the palate that finishes strong with firm acidity underlined by fresh fruit notes.
Our 2007 Syrah shows tremendous complexity and captures the showiness and opulence of the vintage. It has bold aromatics of sweet red pepper, raspberry and notes of leather. The flavors express briery fruit and gound spice with refined tannin quality that gives the wine a significant backbone and long finish.
Warm blackberry and white pepper aromatics backed by a smoked bacon and black brambly fruit flavors. Aromas of cardamom leading to warm blackberry and peppered steak. Firm tannins lift flavors of shaved wood and mocha. Bennet Valley, Sonoma
In 2008 we produced only 4 barrels of this Syrah. The aromatics are highlighted with white pepper, black currants, and tequila. The palate is full of blackberry, crushed spice and fresh meat. This wine is balanced with smooth tannins and bright acidity and the finish is long and lingering.
