This sparkling wines was made in the tradition méthode champenoise. The grapes were whole cluster pressed and the juice was settled for two days. Fermentation was completed in both stainless steel drums and neutral French oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation was prevented by adding SO2. The wine was barrel aged for 12 months then aged on tirage for 18 months before riddling, disgorging, and adding the dosage.
We selected 2 barrels of the Cabernet Franc to bottle for our club members. The variety is used in our Somerston "Stornoway Block 4" blend. This is the first release of Cabernet Franc as a single varietal from our Estate. This wine has classic Cabernet Franc notes, with bright red fruit aromas, balanced by earth tones, and spice. The wine is full bodied with balanced acidity and a lingering finish.
Our 2012 Malbec, is a full-bodied wine with balanced tannins. This dark and inky wine is full of ripe fruit flavors of black cherry and plums with lingering hints of tobacco and pepper.
The aromas of this wine jump out of the bottle when the cork is removed. The glass is full of dark fruits, spice, and the glamour you expect of a great wine. The pallet is as large as this project, meant to last for year to come. A small decant will bring you much joy!
This wine has ripe tropical aromas that burst out of the glass. The palette is crisp and full of ripe flavors that are balanced by the wines bright acidity. There is a touch of richness on the pallet from the lees stirring in the barrel.
Our 2009 Priest Ranch Syrah shows tremendous complexity and captures the showiness and opulence of the vintage. It has bold aromatics of sweet red pepper, raspberry and notes of leather. The flavors express briery fruit and ground spice with a refined tannin quality that gives the wine a significan backbone and a long finish.
The Coachgun is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.5% Merlot and 12.5% Petite Verdot.
The wine has bright red fruit aromatics of lush dark berries and a hint of spice. It is full bodied, bold in character and focused. The tannis are develping with good acidity. Over the next few years, the wine will evolve and is expected to reach maturity in 2022.

This is our fourth release of Priest Ranch Zinfandel from our Somerston Estate. Our 2011 vintage is a balanced wine and a more classic representation of a hillside Zinfandel. Aromas display notes of coffee, red cherry, and rose petals. On the palate, the wine has flavors of black cherry, spice, and vanilla. This medium bodied wine is focused on balance, finishing with nicely polished tannins.
This is the fifth release of Priest Ranch Petite Sirah from the Somerston Estate. The 2010 vintage Petite Sirah is an inky wine with dark fruit aromas of bark berries and spice. The palate offers supple dark cherry flavors, cinnamon, and white pepper with a wonderful balance of firm yet integrated tannins.
