Somerston Stornoway Red Blend 2009

The Merlot-based 2009 Red Blend Stornoway is quite delicate and silky on the palate. Effortless layers of fruit take shape nicely in the glass. Red currants, raspberries, crushed flowers, sweet spices and French oak are all nicely layered into the nuanced, vinous finish. The 2009 Somerston Stornoway is our second release, showcasing the diversity of our amazing estate. Thiis right bank inspired wine jumps out of the glass with expressive aromatics of blueberry, espresso, and wood spice. This wine is rich and concentrated; the pallet is full of dark red fruits, spice and blueberry. The balanced acid pro"le builds up to a lingering and persistent "nish. This wine will age for 25 year.
